POWERTECHNIC was founded by Choo Chee Yong and Ivan Na. Both of them had years of working experience at companies specializing in Cranes & Hoists industries. On a peaceful and relaxing night, Choo and Ivan were discussing the general happenings. Their thought and emotion run wild. Sincerely felt it’s not the norm nor right, when earning yet unable to add value on services. Their focus then turn to the Why’s and How’s.

Setting off the dream of setting up their own company. Giving them an opportunity to unleash their potential and provide a caring environment to employees and providing service to what the individual environment lacks.

Taking the first step seems extremely hard. Renting a shop lot took a month of negotiating, basically on the rental. Lack of funds even made them compromise on basic essentials, such as not having a simple signboard for 3 years.

Undoubtedly, money was their concern. Being new means the banks won’t support them and being from a common family, their resources are limited. Daily expenditure seems unsurmountable and always in a state of survival.

Manpower was crucial, selecting the right person and training was an arduous task.

Their core values and beliefs push them to discover themselves and their eagerness to prove themselves touch their suppliers and clients, many gave them support in their times of needs.

They relentlessly focus and work very hard. Their strength comes from their unwavering faith that pushes them to keep moving forward and create a system that is unparalleled in the industry.
